A matter of time, Exhibition by Jon A. Juárez
Nature photographer Jon A. Juarez is proud to present his exhibition A matter of Time in his
hometown, Blanes, on September 21st at 7pm.
A fine selection of creative and exquisite photographs showing the beauty of the planet
as well as the risks of global warming, the exhibition will be on display until October 14 at
Blanes’ Art House, Casa Saladrigas.
Starting with the white cliffs of the island of Rügen, moving through the immensity of Norway’s
glaciers to land in the lush rainforests of Southeast Asia, A matter of time passes review
of the world around us and its vulnerability.
The author, a resident in Berlin and member of Germany’s Association of Nature Photographers
(GDT), points out both worrying and astonishing sights that he has witnessed in recent
years which show the overwhelming effects of climate change and human actions.
But this message is not accompanied by devastating images showing the negative consequences
of global warming and greenhouse gasses; quite the opposite: with a harmonious
and delicate aesthetic, Juarez shows the natural environment as he sees it.
The goal of the exhibition A matter of time is to remind visitors of the effects of everyday activities,
be they industrial, agricultural, urban, commercial or other activities, and how to minimize
or reduce their damage to natural ecosystems.
